Information Gathering Services Measure and record information about volumes contained in shore tanks, vessels, rail cars, tank trucks, ISO tanks and etc. before and after a product transfer. Measure and record information about the temperature of the product before and after a transfer. Measure and record information about Oxygen Content, Dew Point, Conductivity, pH, and other measurements as required by the product. Record an accurate chronological event log of the transfer showing specific times for activities during the transfer or other activities at the job site. Inspect and record information about the condition of the transfer lines and other transfer equipment. Inspect and record information about the cleanliness of the receiving tank and lines. Safely sample product and record information about samples on the sample tags. Record vessel drafts. How does the Inspector gather the information? Gauging tanks on vessels and shore tanks. Measuring the temperature of the product in the tanks. Observe and document all events that take place during the transfer by all other parties. Cleanliness inspection of vessel and shore stowage systems. Wall Washes of storage tanks and testing for residual products. What other duties does the Inspector perform? Sealing vessels, lines and etc. Calculates stop gauges when required. Checks rake, void and slop tanks before and after transfer to or from a vessel. Samples all tanks before and after transfer. Climb Shore Tanks and board vessels to measure liquid levels, obtain samples and determine the temperature of liquids. Investigates discrepancies. Compares the quantity of liquid delivered during the custody transfer versus the quantity indicated on the transfer paperwork. Completes written reports of quantity measurements. All work instructions used by the Field are documented per our ISO9001:2015 requirements and are handled as secure documents that can only be revised per established procedures.
